Delivering a new central utility plant and life-safety power distribution into a live hospital campus — with utility tie-ins requiring coordinated shutdowns in an occupied, 24/7 facility.
OUR APPROACH
Northgrid developed a detailed outage sequence with the owner’s facilities group and the GC, executing each tie-in during low-census windows with fully staged temporary power in place throughout.
RESULTS
All 14 utility tie-ins were completed without an unplanned outage. The project delivered two weeks ahead of schedule and exceeded the owner’s uptime protection requirements for the duration of construction.
