THE CHALLENGE
Delivering a high-density colocation suite while adjacent halls remained active for existing tenants. The project required tight coordination across switchgear, UPS rooms, chilled water loops, containment, and BMS integration with limited tolerance for schedule drift.
OUR APPROACH
Northgrid used prefabricated electrical racks, coordinated mechanical tie-ins through a shared BIM model, and staged material deliveries by white-space zone. Controls and commissioning teams validated equipment sequences before final integrated systems testing.
RESULTS
The expansion reached substantial completion ahead of tenant turnover. Commissioning documentation was accepted on first review, and the owner was able to begin tenant fit-out activities without delaying the next leasing milestone.
